Uzbekistan is the Country in Central Asia, recently declared itself as the independent state, and it is still a fairy tale for the majority of foreigners. This country attracts travellers by various landscapes exept the ocean: Uzbekistan has no exit to the sea though Aral sea has the right to be called so because of its size and importance for the region.
Uzbekistan has everything : the tops of the highest mountains covered with eternal snows, massive mountain ridges and picturesque valleys with wild nature and only birds and wild animals enjoy a pure mountain air and a crystal water of the rivers. Mountains smoothly pass into plains , the most part of which is occupied by boundless waterless deserts. Two great rivers, Amu Darya and Syr-Darya, are born in mountains as the result of thawing of snows and glaciers . The waters run through all Central Asia, giving life to oases and fertile meadows. These virgin landscapes - are necessary for the person who appreciates beauty of the nature,who is tired of the noise and dust of cities vanity and stress of daily routine.
In the space between two rivers thousand years ago the centers of a human civilization have arisen. People have constructed cities here which did not concede to Rome and Babylon.They amazed wanderers and the dealers moving on the Great Silk Route by their beauty and extremely advanced infrastructure.
This place saw severe fights and collisions of huge armies which were brought here to search for profit by tsars Kir, Dariy, Alexander the Great, Chingiz khan. Tamerlan founded his empire here. In intervals between destructive wars governors found time for patronage of arts and development of science, culture and art. Scintists created catalogues of stars,architects were able to build huge pools on roofs of palaces while Paris and London were still villages.
Centuries of domination of islam have affected the culture of peoples of Central Asia, having generated a freakish combination of before existing cults and religions with Muslim ideology. The cultural heritage kept in region, covers the thousand-year period. This is that unique place on the Earth where within centuries five religions peacefully existed!
Presently the countries of Central Asia, and Uzbekistan in particular, generously share beauties and the richness, which have been saved up within centuries, with all people interested in it.
